I found that some of life's greatest revelations can discovered on the open road with nothing more than an evening breeze, jazz on the radio, and a 5lb bag of gummi bears. I've also learned that I'll always have more questions than answers (and that's okay!). May this be a written and visual documentation of this crazy journey we call life.

Hey Michael! Thought I'd post up a few comments on your images--I know you asked for some feedback on your Ranger Mike blog, but I feel like this is the blog where I belong commenting, so I'll do it here :)

I won't leave anything overly in-depth since I'm not sure that that's what you're really looking for --no IP critiques :) -- but I think a few of these are really working and I think there's a couple that are still a bit unclear. The fish assemblages seems to be working rather well, as does the elk-if only because they're easier to depict. I also really like how the Mountain Lakes image is working, as well as the Glaciers. I'm not quite convinced on Landscape Dynamics, although at the same time I'm not sure that anything else could better depict it. I think you could push the Breeding Landbirds just a bit more --make it a bit more specific. I think Vegetation could be pushed a bit more-right now I feel that it's reading more as a vegetation-less trees. I get a more cold and lifeless feeling from it which is enhanced by the lack of color, but I think you could push it a bit more. As far as Climate and Intertidal Communities, I'm not really sure how to respond. i think climate is a really great image, but that's a hard one to really get across to start with. I think the Intertidal Communities is a great image, although maybe adding something to do with actual Communities could strengthen your message.... On the whole, I think all the images hold together really well which is great and really important.

Well...now that I feel like I'm back in school a bit and have probably given you way more than you were asking for...I'll leave you alone :)
